SHATY Privacy Policy

SHATY has drafted this privacy policy to explain how we collect, use, and protect your (personal) data, to show you that we take the protection of your privacy very seriously.

YOU SUBSCRIBE TO THE NEWSLETTER OR REQUEST INFORMATIONAL MATERIAL

If you subscribe to SHATY's newsletter or request informational material, your personal data will be used to inform you about our products and services. When you buy a product from SHATY and leave your details, for example by asking a question, we may inform you about other SHATY products in the future.

You can always unsubscribe from the newsletter or mailing list via opt-out or by contacting us at contact@shaty.nl.

WHAT DATA WE PROCESS

We process the following data:

  • First and last name;
  • In case of subscribing to the newsletter: email address;
  • When requesting informational material: depending on how you request and what you ask for: address, phone number, IP address, email address;
  • When subscribing to the newsletter, you can, if you wish, also fill in your date of birth and gender.

SHATY uses your data for the following purposes:

When subscribing to our newsletter or requesting informational material, you give your explicit consent via opt-in for the processing of the above data, so that we can send you the newsletter and/or informational material. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time by simply sending an email to contact@shaty.nl.

  • Third parties we engage to deliver informational material.

YOU CREATE AN ACCOUNT (AND SHOP IN OUR WEBSHOP)

To place an order through our website, you can register as a customer. You create an account, secured with a password and linked to your email address. You enter your details yourself and can change them at any time by logging into your account.

WHAT DATA WE PROCESS

We process the following data:

  • First and last name;
  • Shipping (delivery) address;
  • Email address;
  • Phone number;
  • IP address;
  • Which products you have viewed in the past 60 days;
  • Your account number/account details;
  • Which products you have ordered;
  • Your last visit and login are also recorded.

We do not process payment details. Payments to our webshop are processed through a third-party Payment Service Provider (PSP). You enter your credit card or bank account details only on these secure pages, completing your order. We receive confirmation from the PSP that your payment was received but do not receive your credit card or bank account number. If you choose Klarna for payment, we also store your date of birth for payment authentication. This information is shared with Klarna.

PURPOSE

SHATY uses your data for the following purposes:

  • To process your orders—i.e., to perform the agreement we have with you;
  • To use your IP address, email address, and information about your online behavior to improve our online services, products, and browsing experience.

LEGAL BASIS

Processing the above data is necessary for executing your order—i.e., performing the agreement we have with you.

  • Our partners who process, ship, and deliver your orders;
  • Our partners who enhance your online shopping experience;
  • Our partners who handle payment processing;
  • Our partners who provide the database for storing order and customer information for our website.

YOU SHOP IN OUR WEBSHOP WITHOUT LOGIN/ACCOUNT

It is not necessary to register as a customer to place an order through our website. You provide the data we need to process your order, and you can also change this data at any time.

  • Which products you have ordered.

We do not process payment details. Payments to our webshop are processed via a third-party PSP, and you enter your credit card or bank account details securely on these pages. We only receive confirmation of payment.

LEGAL BASIS

Processing the above data is necessary to execute your order—i.e., to perform the agreement we have with you. As for using your IP address, the legal basis is also the legitimate interests of our organization (improving our service and ensuring the smooth functioning of our website).
