Apply BIAB

Important: Also watch the instructional video at the bottom of this page for additional guidance!

It is essential to apply BIAB (Builder In A Bottle) carefully and according to the steps in our manual. In addition, we recommend that you inform yourself well about what exactly BIAB is and how it works. This not only contributes to a beautiful result, but also helps to prevent damage or other problems after application. Follow the steps below carefully for strong, beautiful nails!

Manual for applying BIAB

Step 1: Apply primer

  • Apply the primer to the entire nail.
  • Let the primer air dry for at least one minute. This does not have to be done under an LED lamp.

Step 2: Apply Base Coat

  • The Base Coat serves as extra protection, especially for thin or damaged nails.
  • Apply a thin layer, leaving 1 mm space between the polish and the cuticle.
  • Cure the Base Coat under an LED lamp for at least one minute.
  • Please note: the Base Coat remains sticky, because it provides good adhesion. Do not try to remove this sticky layer.

Step 3: First layer of BIAB

  • Apply a thin layer of the BIAB color, again leaving 1 mm space up to the cuticle.
  • Cure this layer under the LED lamp for at least 120 seconds.
  • As with the Base Coat, this layer remains sticky. Leave this layer intact.

Step 4: Multiple layers of BIAB

  • For extra strength, you can apply several thin layers of BIAB.
  • Cure each layer separately under the LED lamp (minimum 120 seconds).

Step 5: Add any extension

  • If desired, you can apply nail extensions with nail tips or templates.

Step 6: Gel polish (optional)

  • Want some extra color or decoration? Apply a layer of gel polish.
  • Cure this layer under the LED lamp as well (60-120 seconds).

Step 7: Apply Top Coat

  • Apply a thin layer of Top Coat over the entire nail.
  • Cure this under the LED lamp for at least 120 seconds.

Step 8: Remove sticky layer

  • Use a nail cleanser or acetone to gently remove the sticky layer. Do not press too hard on the nails.

Nail care after application

To keep your nails beautiful and strong for longer:

  • Use cuticle oil daily and massage it into the cuticles.
  • Keep the skin around your nails well moisturized with a hand cream.

Common Problems and Solutions

1. Nails come loose

  • Cause : Damaged nail plate. Make sure the nail plate is clean and free of old polish residue. If necessary, use a nail drill, acetone or a file.
  • Solution : Make sure the nail plate is smooth and clean before you start.

2. Oily nails

  • Cause : A greasy nail plate prevents proper adhesion.
  • Solution : Avoid hand cream or oils before painting. Only use afterwards.

3. Nails not sealed properly

  • Cause : The polish was not applied over the edge of the nail plate.
  • Solution : Seal your nails by applying the polish to the edge of the nails as well.

4. Filing after applying BIAB

  • Cause : Filing after sealing will damage the layers.
  • Solution : Make sure you achieve the desired shape before applying the BIAB.
